media

Shows the current media artwork and track title from MPRIS. On vertical bars (left / right), only the artwork is shown. On horizontal bars, enable album_art_only for the same compact look.

Album artwork follows the resolved capsule radius, including per-widget and capsule-group settings, even when the capsule background is disabled. An automatic capsule radius keeps the artwork circular; capsule_radius = 0 gives square corners. The radius is limited to half the artwork size.

With peek = true, horizontal bars show only the artwork (or the media glyph when artwork is unavailable) until you hover the widget to reveal the track text. glyph_position places the artwork before or after the text; peek reveals toward the text’s side. Both settings are inactive and hidden in Settings when album_art_only or hide_album_art is enabled, or on vertical bars.

Left-click opens the Media tab in the control center; right-click toggles play/pause. The mouse side buttons (back / forward) skip to the previous and next track. Every action targets the active player shown on the widget.
